Notes

Verse 6 and the introductory verse are not part of the original song. During the performing of the tulasi kirtana, this song is flagged by the introductory verse in the beginning and end of the song, which offering obeisances to Tulasi-devi. At the end of the fifth verse (the end of the original song), the sixth verse is sung when circumambulating Tulasi-Devi. The introductory prayer's third line is originally ' viṣṇu bhakti', although it is commonly chanted as ' kṛṣṇa bhakti.'
