Word for word

(refrain) sundara mor - O Beautiful One; mana kiśor - O Youthful Boy in my heart; eso - come here; he śyāmal - O beautiful blackish One; nayana-abhīrām - Pleasure to the eyes

Refrain: O beautiful one! O youthful boy who lives in my heart! Please come to me, O dark Syamal, O delighter of my eyes!

praṇām eso he śyāmal

bhajibo - I worship; tomāy - to You; mor mana - my mind; cāi - wants; caraṇer rākhi - keeping Your feet; ekṭi - only; praṇām - worship

The desire of my heart is to worship You intimately. In this hope, I humbly bow unto Your lotus feet.

nayaner prema more lo'ye jāy milaner sūr virohe sukhāy praṇer devatā kabe nāhi
kathā nayaner dhārā mane
nābhīrām

nayaner prema - O love of my eyes; more lo'ye jāy - take me away; milaner sūr - the musical note of meeting; virohe - in separation; sukhāy - happiness; praṇer devatā - O Lord of my life; kabe - why; nāhi - not; kathā - word (i.e. speak); nayaner - of the eyes; dhārā - waterfalls; mane - in my heart/mind; na-abhīrām - no pleasure

O love of my eyes! Please take me with You! While I am suffering in Your separation, the melody of our impending meeting is the only thing that gives me any happiness. O monarch of my life! Why do You remain silent and never speak to me? Tears are flowing from my eyes, and nothing in this world gives me any satisfaction.

giridhāri lāl ei jīvane hāy jadi nāhi
pāy maraṇer upare śaraṇa

emni - in this manner; kore - doing; ār koto kāl - how much more time?; kāńdāle - crying; āmāy - me; giridhāri lāl - Darling Lifter of Govardhana Hill; ei - this; jīvane - lifetime; hāy - Alas! yadi - if; nāhi pāy - I do not attain; maraṇer - of death; upare - on; śaraṇa nilām - to take up shelter

How much longer must I continue living in this condition? You are making me weep and cry out for You, O darling Giridhari Lal! If I cannot attain You in this lifetime, then I shall just give up and surrender myself unto death.
