Aja Meri Angana Men Ao

āja meri aṅgana meṅ āo nanda lāla cale
- āo gopāl darsan kī pyāsi gujeriā śyām

O Nanda Lal, come into my courtyard. Come Gopal! This old woman is thirsting to have Your darsan.

aṅganāme āo meri mākhan kū khao

Come child! Come and eat butter in my courtyard.

miṭhi miṭhi batiau sunābo nanda lāla re -
sunabo gopāl darsan kī pyāsi gujeria śyām

I want to hear your charming, childish talking which is so sweet. Come! This old woman is hankering to have Your darsan.

rehne nahi some uṭhi bhorahi bilomi (
prabhu ) rehne nahi some uṭhi bhorahi bilomi

Besides, You're not resting for a moment. Rather You are running around here and there. So You might as well come here too.

yāme aur jāme tuhiku nanda lāla re -
tuhiku gopāl darsan kī pyāsi gujeriā śyām

Whether You come or go, Nanda Lal, this old woman is thirsting to have Your darsan.

Translation

O Nanda Lal, come into my courtyard. Come Gopal! This old woman is thirsting to have Your darsan.

Come child! Come and eat butter in my courtyard.

I want to hear your charming, childish talking which is so sweet. Come! This old woman is hankering to have Your darsan.

Besides, You're not resting for a moment. Rather You are running around here and there. So You might as well come here too.
