Aja Aja Re Kanhai Teri Yad Aye

1

( refrain ) ājā ājā re kanhāi teri yād āye he
kanhāī parama sukhadāī mere sāṅvare prīta kanhāi

Refrain: Come here, come here, O Kanhai! I miss You! O Kanhai, the greatest pleasure-giver, my lover is the only beloved Kanhai!

2

jaba yāda śyāma teri āti hai ek ajab nazārā hotā hai
ek tīsa si uṭhati hai aura dil becaina hamārā hotā hai

Whenever I remember You, O Syama, a strange sight occurs. An ecstatic feel comes up and my heart become restless.

3

terā pyāra chipāye sīne meṅ dina rāta taḍapatī rahatī
hūṅ kaise badalāūṅ prāṇa nātha ro ro ke guzārā hotā hai

Your love is hidden deep in my heart. I wander here and there during day and night. How can I change this, O Lord of my life. I pass the day crying.

4

jaba yāda śyāma teri āti tai dehe jātī hūṅ tufānoṅ meṅ
maṅjhadhāra meṅ go dekhāti huṅ ek terā sahārā hotā hai

Whenever I remember You, O Syama, my body enters a storm. I look to the mid point of the waters with the help and support of You.

5

maiṅ calatī phiratī uṭhatī hūṅ duniyā se dard chipāne
ko yeh duniyā-vāle kyā jāne kyā pyār tumhārā hotā hai

I am roaming and traveling hiding the pain of the world in my heart. What will the worldly people know what love for You is?
